Meet Karie Rohrlach
Counsellor - Psychotherapist - Founder of Zanti
- Adelaide & Online -
Welcome — I'm Karie.

I'm a counsellor and psychotherapist working with adults who are navigating complexity, overwhelm, and the kind of difficulties that don't resolve through effort alone. My work is grounded, direct, and shaped by both rigorous clinical training and years of lived experience.

I've always been drawn to what sits beneath the surface — the patterns that repeat, the beliefs that hold, the parts of experience that go unspoken. I'm interested in the whole person — including the dimensions of experience that conventional therapy doesn't always make room for: meaning, energy, identity, and the deeper questions that sit beneath the presenting problem.

My path into this work wasn't linear. It was informed by years in senior leadership and organisational roles, retraining in counselling and psychotherapy, and my own ongoing personal work. All of it shapes how I show up — with steadiness, honesty, and genuine curiosity about your particular story.

I don't offer quick fixes or careful reassurance. I offer something more useful — honest engagement, real questions, and a space where you can slow down and look at what's actually happening without pressure to perform or explain.

Zanti was built for this kind of work. Grounded in psychology, ethics, and human connection. Not polished. Not performative. Just real, careful, and direct.

If something in you says 'yes, this is it' — follow the call. This is where inner knowing meets conscious action.
My Approach
My practice is integrative — which means I draw on a range of evidence-based approaches rather than applying a single fixed model. I work primarily with Counselling & Psychotherapy, EMDR Trauma Therapy, Transpersonal Counselling and Holistic Therapy, weaving in somatic, Schema Therapy, and creative approaches where relevant.

Rather than applying a formula, I pay attention to what's actually happening for you — what feels relevant, what's being avoided, what keeps recurring. The work can be supportive, exploratory, and at times direct. Always at a pace that's grounded and manageable.Together we choose the approach that resonates most strongly with you.
Background & Experience
Before entering private practice, I spent years in senior leadership and organisational roles. Over time it became clear that my work needed to centre more directly on people — particularly those navigating stress, trauma, identity shifts, and significant life transitions.

I retrained in counselling, psychotherapy, and trauma-informed practice. I hold a Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy, Level II EMDR accreditation, Level I Schema Therapy training, and additional qualifications in Neurofeedback, transpersonal approaches, and somatic work. I am registered with PACFA.
My own personal work continues to inform how I practise — with an emphasis on honesty, reflection, and ethical care.

Why This Work Matters to Me
What matters most is creating a space where people feel safe enough to be honest — with themselves and with another person.
Real change doesn't come from being pushed or fixed. It comes from having enough room to see clearly, feel safely, and understand what's actually driving the pattern. That's what I'm here to support — not a managed version of yourself, but a truer one.
