Meet Karie Rohrlach

Welcome — I’m Karie,

I’m a counsellor and psychotherapist who works with people navigating complexity, overwhelm, and periods of change. My work is grounded, relational, and shaped by both professional training and lived experience.

I’ve always been drawn to what sits beneath the surface — the quieter parts of experience that often go unseen or unspoken. My path into this work hasn’t been linear. It’s been informed by years in leadership roles, clinical training, and my own personal work. All of this shapes how I meet people: with steadiness, curiosity, and respect.

I don’t offer quick fixes. I offer a calm, thoughtful space where you can slow down, reflect, and make sense of what’s happening — without pressure to be any particular way.

Zanti was created as a place for this kind of work. A practice grounded in psychology, ethics, and human connection. Not polished. Not performative. Just real, careful, and considered.

If this feels like the kind of support you’re looking for, you’re welcome here.

My Approach

My practice is integrative and responsive, shaped by clinical training and a whole-person understanding of wellbeing.

I work primarily with:

  • Counselling & Psychotherapy

  • EMDR Trauma Therapy

Creative, reflective, and body-aware approaches may be used where appropriate, always guided by your needs and preferences.

Rather than applying a formula, I work collaboratively — paying attention to what feels relevant, safe, and useful for you at this point in time.

The work can be supportive, exploratory, and at times gently challenging, always at a pace that feels manageable.

Background & Experience

Before entering private practice, I worked in senior leadership and organisational roles. Over time, it became clear that my work needed to centre more directly on people — particularly those navigating stress, trauma, identity shifts, and life transitions.

I retrained in counselling, psychotherapy, and trauma-informed practice, alongside ongoing supervision and professional development.

My own personal work continues to inform how I practise, with an emphasis on humility, reflection, and ethical care.

Areas I Can Support

  • People often come to work with me around:

  • Trauma and complex trauma

  • Anxiety, stress, and emotional overwhelm

  • Grief, loss, and significant life changes

  • Identity questions and self-worth

  • Burnout and nervous system regulation

  • Sensitivity, depth, and feeling “too much”

  • Meaning, direction, and leadership transitions

Why This Work Matters to Me

What matters most in this work is creating a space where people feel safe enough to be honest — with themselves and with another person.

Change doesn’t come from being pushed or fixed. It comes from being met with steadiness, care, and enough room to think and feel clearly. That’s the kind of space I aim to offer.
