Leadership Training
What it is
Beyond management technique
Most leadership training focuses on tools and technique—how to run a meeting, manage a project or lead a team. Those things matter, but they're only part of the picture.
At Zanti, we take a different approach.
Leadership is so much more than knowing how to manage people. It's a mindset. It's an attitude. It's a way of being and approaching life. The way we lead is shaped by our personality, values, communication style and life experiences long before we step into a leadership role.
There's a difference between being a manager and being a leader. A manager provides the structure to get the job done. A leader inspires vision, builds trust and creates the conditions where people can do their best work.
Our workshops look beyond management techniques to explore the interpersonal side of leadership. We begin with self-awareness, then build practical leadership skills that are grounded in who you are—not who you think you're supposed to be.
Who It's For
You might be in the right place if…
You're an organisation looking to develop leaders within your team.
You're a community organisation, school or small business wanting leadership development that's practical, engaging and tailored to your people.
You manage people, but want to understand the difference between managing and truly leading.
You're stepping into leadership for the first time and want to build strong foundations.
You've noticed that old patterns, blind spots or triggers show up in the way you lead—and you're ready to understand them rather than simply work around them.
You want practical leadership skills—communication, decision making, strategic thinking and leading people—grounded in genuine self-awareness.
What to Expect
What workshops look like
We offer tailor-made leadership workshops for groups of up to 20 people, along with individual leadership coaching for those wanting to explore their own leadership more deeply.
Rather than delivering a fixed programme, every workshop is designed around the people in the room.
Together we'll unpack, explore and apply different approaches to leadership based on your organisation's goals, challenges and culture.
Depending on your needs, workshops may include:
-

A Note on our approach
Not just theory. Not just personality tests. Both
Leadership training can easily become one of two things—a checklist of management techniques, or a personality profile with nowhere to go afterwards.
Neither creates great leaders.
The most effective leadership development brings both together. It combines practical skills with genuine self-awareness, helping people understand not only what effective leadership looks like, but why they lead the way they do.
Whether you're leading a team for the first time or have years of experience, there's always another layer to explore.
The Facilitator
How I work
I'm Karie—counsellor, coach and certified MBTI practitioner at Zanti.
Before moving into private practice, I spent many years in leadership and management roles across health and community services, developing leaders, facilitating organisational change and supporting teams through complex environments. I've worked with organisations ranging from small community teams to large multidisciplinary health services, giving me an understanding of both the practical and human sides of leadership. Today, those two worlds naturally come together in the way I work.
My approach to leadership draws on the same philosophy that shapes my counselling work. I believe leadership begins with understanding ourselves. When we become more aware of our personality, values, communication style and patterns, we naturally become more authentic, confident and effective leaders.
Many of the people I work with are looking for more than another leadership model. They're ready to understand themselves more deeply, strengthen their relationships with others, and build a style of leadership that's genuine, practical and sustainable.
I work with warmth, honesty and a genuine interest in people. I'll ask thoughtful questions, encourage real conversations and tailor every workshop to the people in front of me. Every workshop is different because every group is different. I don't arrive with a script—I bring experience, flexibility and a willingness to meet people where they are.
Workshops and coaching are available in person and online across Australia.
Grounded leadership, built to last
Leadership isn't built in a single workshop. It's developed over time through self-awareness, experience, reflection and practice. My role is simply to help create the space for that growth to happen.
If you're looking for leadership development that's thoughtful, practical and grounded in understanding people, I'd love to have a conversation.
