Grounded Support for people who feel deeply

A space to simply be —
held with calm, clarity, and steadiness.

Zanti Counselling in Adelaide and Online, offers counselling for adults who feel deeply and are carrying more than feels manageable.
This is a held space to simply arrive — to slow down, make sense of what's happening within you, and settle into firmer ground beneath your feet.
Sessions are steady, practical, and calm— supporting emotional regulation, clearer boundaries, and a stronger sense of self, without pressure to explain, perform, or pathologise.
A place to simply arrive, without pressure or expectation.
Our Approach
Life can become noisy. Sometimes that noise is around us, and sometimes it's inside us.
Whether you're navigating anxiety, grief, trauma, burnout, difficult relationships or simply feeling overwhelmed, it can become hard to hear your own thoughts, trust your own instincts, or know what you need next.
At Zanti, this is a place to slow down.
A place to settle, make sense of what's happening, and reconnect with yourself in a way that feels steady, grounded and manageable. There is no pressure to perform, have all the answers, or make sense of everything straight away.
Many people tell me they leave feeling lighter than when they arrived. Not because their life has changed in an hour, but because they've had the opportunity to feel genuinely heard, understood and supported.
As a PACFA-registered counsellor and psychotherapist with a Master of Counselling & Psychotherapy, I draw on a range of approaches including counselling, psychotherapy, EMDR, transpersonal and holistic therapy. Together, we'll choose the approach that feels right for you.
Sessions are available in person at 71 Angas Street in the Adelaide CBD and online across Australia, with periodic visits to Port Lincoln for existing clients.

The name behind Zanti Counselling
Karie Rohrlach
Counsellor & Psychotherapist
Founder
Welcome — I’m Karie.
I work with people who feel things deeply — who are carrying more than feels manageable, and who are ready for support that goes beneath the surface.
At the heart of my work has always been the same hope: that people discover they are capable of so much more than surviving. That they reconnect with themselves, rediscover the parts of themselves that have become buried beneath old patterns, painful experiences or years of putting everyone else first, and create a life that feels meaningful, authentic and truly their own.
That belief has quietly shaped the path I've taken for many years.
It led me from leadership and management into psychology, counselling and psychotherapy, but more importantly, it continues to shape the way I work today.
Over the years I've come to believe that lasting change rarely comes from trying harder or finding the right advice. More often, it begins when we slow down enough to understand ourselves—our patterns, our relationships, the beliefs we've carried for years, and the ways we've learnt to protect ourselves.
I don't believe people need to become someone new. I believe they need the freedom to remember who they already are beneath the patterns, pain and expectations they've carried for years.
I'm drawn to what sits beneath the presenting problem. To the patterns that keep showing up, the beliefs that won't shift through insight alone, and the quieter questions of meaning, identity and purpose that conventional approaches don't always make room for. That's the work I find most meaningful—and the work that continues to inspire me every day.
One of my favourite quotes says,
"You can only take others as deep as you're willing to go yourself."
I've carried that with me for many years. It reminds me that this work isn't about having all the answers. It's about remaining curious, continuing to learn, and being willing to do the same inner work I invite others to do.
I don't believe therapy should be another place where you feel you have to perform. It's a place to slow down, be honest, and find firmer ground—at a pace that feels manageable.

Whether you're drawn to counselling, EMDR, transpersonal work, or the deeper energetic and creative dimensions of therapy — the focus is always the same: genuine change at the root level, not better strategies for carrying the same weight. You don't need to know in advance what's right. That becomes clear as we work together.
Sessions are available online or in person in Adelaide CBD, South Australia.

Leadership & Workshop Facilitation
Helping people grow doesn't only happen in the counselling room.
Long before I became a counsellor and psychotherapist, I spent many years in leadership and management roles across health and community services. Leadership has always been part of my professional life.
Over those years I watched capable, intelligent people step into leadership carrying far more than the responsibilities of the role. Some avoided difficult conversations. Others found themselves reacting in frustration or anger, doubting their decisions, struggling to say no, or quietly trying to be everything to everyone. It wasn't because they lacked leadership ability. More often, they simply hadn't had the opportunity to understand themselves.
That's what changed the way I think about leadership.
To me, leadership has never really been about titles or management techniques. It's about people. It's about understanding ourselves, communicating well, building healthy relationships and creating environments where others can thrive.
Whether I'm working with someone in the counselling room or facilitating a leadership workshop, I'm often exploring the same questions. Why do we respond the way we do? What shapes the way we relate to others? And what becomes possible when we understand ourselves more deeply?
